‘LaQshya – Quality Improvement Initiative’ was launched in December, 2017 with the objectives of reducing preventable maternal and new born mortality, morbidity and still births associated with the care around delivery in labour room and maternity OT (Operation Theatre), and to ensure respectful maternity care. LaQshya initiative is a focused and targeted approach to strengthen key processes related to the labour rooms and maternity operation theatres, in order to achieve time-bound targets and to ensure desired outcome within a short period.
