This collaboration aims to establish the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel Park (PM MITRA Park) in Amravati, Maharashtra. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched The Mangrove Initiative for Shoreline Habitats and Tangible Incomes (MISHTI) which focuses on the revival and safeguarding of India’s mangrove ecosystem. Recognizing the vital role of mangroves in mitigating the impact of rising sea levels and cyclones on coastal areas and communities, the scheme aims to restore mangrove cover in nine states. Over the next five years, comprehensive development of nearly 540 square kilometers of mangrove area is planned across 11 states and two union territories, starting from the fiscal year 2024.
